A single linear skylight runs the full length of the galleries, letting the day itself become part of the collection.

01 — Context

The site sat between existing streets and an underused public space. Rather than a landmark, the client asked for a building that would repair the missing edge and stay open to the city every day of the week.

Long hall lined with a vertical timber screen, oak benches and a polished concrete floor

02 — Materials

Local timber, pale site-cast concrete and lime plaster. Three materials, left unfinished, so the building ages without maintenance and stays calm from season to season.
